Fall 2015 Knovel Academic Challenge

This week sees the launch of the free fall (autumn) 5-week Knovel Academic Challenge. Every week, each student will be faced with a new unique set of five STEM problems to solve while using Knovel to find the solution.

Knovel (for off-campus access, use this link), is a database of technical information for engineers and applied scientists drawn from over 100 authoritative sources.  The collection features material properties, process and design information, best practices, equations and formulations for specific industries and engineering disciplines.

Compete for points and prizes by correctly answering engineering problems characteristic of the typical engineer’s workflow. In order to participate, please register (for free) at www.knovelac.com. As you work on each week’s problem using Knovel, you will be competing for points on an individual and institutional level - weekly and grand prizes (including an Apple iPad Air and Amazon gift cards) can be won.

Good luck!
